Senator Catelin Drey

Senator Catelin Drey was elected to her first term in the Iowa Senate in a 2025 special election. She represents Senate District 1 in Woodbury County, which includes Lawton and most of Sioux City.

Catelin grew up in South Dakota and moved to Iowa to attend Morningside University. She works in digital marketing, and lives in Sioux City with her husband and daughter.

Catelin founded Moms for Iowa, a grassroots initiative dedicated to making public policy accessible for busy Iowa parents. She also served as past president of Siouxland Growth Organization and is a former board member of the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Siouxland.
