Meet Rich Lorence
Rich Lorence is a long-time resident of Mason City in Cerro Gordo County. His family includes his wife, Jennifer, and their four children. Rich has been very active in Mason City, volunteering for numerous boards and organizations.
Rich grew up in southern Iowa and graduated from Southeastern Community College, the University of Northern Iowa, and Ashford University. He holds a BA degree from UNI and a master’s in public administration. He is currently employed by Mason City Community Schools as a Behavior Interventionist/Campus Security at Mason City High School.
Rich has been active in numerous non-profits and service organizations, serving on the board of directors and in leadership roles with Mason City Chamber of Commerce, Mason City Noon Kiwanis, Mason City Youth Baseball, North Iowa Fundraising Professionals, Grant Writers of North Iowa, and several others.
Rich values the public education he and his family received in K-12 schools, community colleges, and state universities. He believes those institutions are an engine of opportunity for Iowans and that investing in our public schools is a key factor in maintaining and growing our communities and the state of Iowa.
