Molly Donahue

District 37

Meet Molly Donahue

Molly was born and raised in the Cedar Rapids Metro area where she graduated from Washington High School, in the same district she now teaches in.

Raised in a family with deep Iowa connections, Molly learned the value of hard work from her parents and as a teen working to save for college. She put herself through college and graduate school earning 4 education degrees between Iowa State University and the University of Northern Iowa.

As a 31-year veteran teacher, Molly is running for the State Senate with the same values she was raised with and instills in her students –  hard work, integrity, and inclusivity.

Molly has served as a state representative since 2018 in the Marion and Cedar Rapids metro area and is proud to live and work in the community that she is representing her whole life.

Molly looks forward to continuing the work she started as a state representative in Marion and Cedar Rapids, and continuing that good work into the Senate for the people she represents.
